MINERAL DESIGN® is a division of the Franco-Spanish group Mosaic Factory. We manufacture custom bathroom fixtures, worktops, integrated sinks, tables and bases, stairs, furniture, and any bespoke terrazzo elements. Our craftsmanship is anchored by three pillars of expertise: the deep technical know-how behind our ESTEZZA® terrazzo collection, a specialized design and engineering department, and master craftsmen skilled in mold-making, precision CNC machining, and manual finishing.
At the heart of our technology is CREATZO®, an exclusive UHPC (Ultra-High-Performance Concrete) mineral binder developed in-house after three years of research. Available in an extensive palette of colors, this innovative material is formulated from siliceous and calcareous minerals with a precise granulometry, combined with specialized additives and reinforcing agents to ensure exceptional strength and durability.
Our clients enjoy endless design possibilities by combining CREATZO® colors with a curated selection of marbles cut into geometric or organic shapes. This can be enhanced with an array of green, red, blue, amber, or transparent glass, alongside a rich palette of marble chips in sizes ranging from 2 to 15 mm. For a truly unique touch, mother-of-pearl, seashells, and river stones can also be incorporated.
MINERAL DESIGN® engineering team transforms your sketches into detailed 3D models, integrating your chosen terrazzo patterns and colors. These realistic renderings allow you to visualize your project and fine-tune shapes, dimensions, colors, and patterns before finalizing your order and beginning production.
Custom molds, either single-use or reusable, are crafted by our specialized technicians to meet the exact technical specifications of each project. Once the terrazzo is mixed and poured, the piece is demolded and finished using high-precision CNC machining. This advanced process guarantees flawless accuracy and seamless assembly, even for the most complex geometric designs.
Following CNC machining, each piece is passed to our finishing craftsmen. They manually adjust fine details and meticulously polish the surface to achieve a flawless, consistent finish. This essential step enhances the material’s color depth, saturation, and the natural brilliance of the embedded marble, glass, or mother-of-pearl fragments. Finally, they apply reinforcing treatments and protective sealers to the surfaces.
